How to Make Japanese Grilled Salmon Burgers Asian Cooking Recipe Cuisine
Japan Grilled Salmon Burgers
This recipe was taken from centuries old cooking techniques and when possible applied modern cooking methods and/or ingredients. It uses Asian cooking styles, Asian Spices, Asian Sauces and Asian Ingredients. The style of cooking may have a slight alteration while still maintaining the dish's overall purpose. In this blog we touch on recipes that may be predominant for the Chinese Cuisines. Recipe makes for 4 Servings
2 lbs fresh salmon
1 potato, boiled and peeled
1 egg, beaten
2 tbsp softened butter
1/2 onion, finely chopped
2 tbsp finely chopped Chinese chives
pinch of salt and pepper
2 tbsp melted butter for basting
Directions:
Finely mince the salmon using a knife. If you use a food processor, make sure the salmon is cold and don't grind it too long.
In a large bowl, mash the potato with a potato masher or fork. Add the beaten egg, butter, onion and chives, salt, pepper and the minced salmon.
Thoroughly combine the salmon mixture with your hands. Moisten your hands and form 4 patties.
Grill over high heat for 1-3 minutes for each side. Finish over medium heat for 4-5 minutes and baste with melted butter.
