India Curried Mix Nuts
This recipe was taken from centuries old cooking techniques and when possible applied modern cooking methods and/or ingredients. It uses Asian cooking styles, Asian Spices, Asian Sauces and Asian Ingredients. The style of cooking may have a slight alteration while still maintaining the dish's overall purpose. Recipe makes for 3 cups
3 tbsp vegetable oil
1 cup cashew nuts
1 cup blanched whole almonds
1 cup raw peanuts
1 tbsp sea salt
1 tsp garam masala
1/2 tsp chili powder
Directions:
In a wok or skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Add cashews and cook, stirring constantly until lightly browned, 1-2 minutes.
Using a slotted spoon, transfer to paper towels to drain. Repeat to fry almonds then peanuts. Combine nuts in a medium bowl. Add remaining ingredients and stir until well combined. Serve at room temperature.
