How to Make Korean Haemul Gochujang Jeon - Omelet Asian Cooking Recipe Cuisine
Korea Haemul Gochujang Jeon (Korean Omelet)
This recipe was taken from centuries old cooking techniques and when possible applied modern cooking methods and/or ingredients. It uses Asian cooking styles, Asian Spices, Asian Sauces and Asian Ingredients. The style of cooking may have a slight alteration while still maintaining the dish's overall purpose. Some cuisines are considered South Asian, South East Asian dishes, Central Asian and/or Middle Eastern and may not be strictly connected to a specific country or culture.
Recipe makes for 3-4 Servings
1 tbsp. vegetable oil
½ cup carrots, julienned
1 tbsp. onion leeks, julienned
1 cup shrimp, peeled & roughly chopped
1 cup squid strips
1 tbsp. onions, sliced
1 tbsp. finger chili, sliced
1 piece potato, julienned
2 tbsp. dashida
3 tbsp. gochujang
1 tbsp. sugar
2 pieces eggs
2/3 cup flour
¼ cup cornstarch
¼ cup soy sauce
2 tsp sugar
1 tsp garlic, minced
1 tsp sesame oil
1 tsp chili powder
1 tsp vinegar
1 tsp sesame seeds
1 tbsp ground roasted peanuts
Directions:
1. Mix all ingredients except the vegetable oil and ground peanuts.
2. Heat vegetable oil in pan. Place mixture in the pan and mold the mixture to the pan.
3. Flip the Korean Omelte to cook the other side.
4. Serve with roasted ground peanuts on top. You can put sugar on top with the peanuts.
