How to Make Filpino Pesang Manok Asian Cooking Recipe Cuisine

This recipe was taken from centuries old cooking techniques and when possible applied modern cooking methods and/or ingredients. It uses Asian cooking styles, Asian Spices, Asian Sauces and Asian Ingredients. The style of cooking may have a slight alteration while still maintaining the dish's overall purpose. Recipe makes for 6 Servings
3 lbs. Chicken, cut into serving pieces
4 cups water
2 cups chicken broth
2 to 3 thumbs ginger
2 large potatoes, quartered
1/2 to 3/4 lb, Napa cabbage, cleaned
2 tablespoons fish sauce
1 teaspoon whole peppercorn
Directions:
1. Combine chicken, water, chicken broth, ginger, and whole peppercorn in a cooking pot. Let boil. Simmer for 30 to 45 minutes.
2. Add the potatoes and cook for 12 minutes.
3. Put-in the Napa cabbage and fish sauce. Cover and cook for 2 minutes.
*serve with some fish sauce to kick up the flavor!
