How to Make Indian Curry Couscous Asian Cooking Recipe Cuisine
India Curry Couscous
This recipe was taken from centuries old cooking techniques and when possible applied modern cooking methods and/or ingredients. It uses Asian cooking styles, Asian Spices, Asian Sauces and Asian Ingredients. The style of cooking may have a slight alteration while still maintaining the dish's overall purpose. In this blog we touch on recipes that may be predominant for the Chinese Cuisines. Recipe makes for 6 Servings
1 1/2 cups couscous
3 cups chicken stock
1 tablespoon curry powder
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
1/2 cup raisins
1 bunch cilantro, chopped
1/2 cup slivered almonds, toasted
Directions:
1. Pour couscous into a bowl. Mix chicken stock, curry powder, salt, pepper, olive oil, and raisins in a saucepan and bring to a boil; remove from heat.
2. Pour the boiling liquid over the couscous. Seal the bowl with plastic wrap and allow to sit for 10 minutes. Fluff couscous with a fork. Top with cilantro and almonds.
