How to Make Indonesian Mushroom Stir-Fry Asian Cooking Recipe Cuisine
Indonesia Mushroom Stir-Fry
This recipe was taken from centuries old cooking techniques and when possible applied modern cooking methods and/or ingredients. It uses Asian cooking styles, Asian Spices, Asian Sauces and Asian Ingredients. The style of cooking may have a slight alteration while still maintaining the dish's overall purpose. In this blog we touch on recipes that may be predominant for the Chinese Cuisines. Some cuisines are considered South Asian, South East Asian, Central Asian and/or Middle Eastern and may not be strictly connected to a specific country or culture.
Recipe makes for 2-3 Servings
2 cups mushrooms, sliced
2 cups cabbage, sliced
1 cucumber, do not peel, cut in half moons
1 onion, sliced thin
1 cup bean sprouts
a little salt & pepper to taste
1 tsp cumin
1 t sugar
2 tbsp ketjap manis (sweet soy sauce)
½ t sambal oelek
Directions:
Heat a little oil in a wok or frying pan over medium-high heat.
Add mushroom, cabbage, cucumber, onion, and bean sprouts. Stir around for 2 minutes.
Add cumin, sugar, ketjap, and sambal. Season with a little salt and pepper. Stir around for an additional minute.
Serve with bahmi or other type of egg noodles.
