How to Make Indian Curried Lamb Stir-Fry Asian Cooking Recipe Cuisine
India Curried Lamb Stir-Fry
This recipe was taken from centuries old cooking techniques and when possible applied modern cooking methods and/or ingredients. It uses Asian cooking styles, Asian Spices, Asian Sauces and Asian Ingredients. The style of cooking may have a slight alteration while still maintaining the dish's overall purpose. In this blog we touch on recipes that may be predominant for the Chinese Cuisines. Some cuisines are considered South Asian, South East Asian, Central Asian and/or Middle Eastern and may not be strictly connected to a specific country or culture.
Recipe Makes for 2-3 Servings:
8-12 oz. lamb, cut into bite-size pieces
2 shallots, minced
1 cup cabbage, sliced
2 tbsp cilantro leaves
Rub:
2 tbsp coconut milk
1/2 tbsp curry or turmeric powder
1 tsp caraway
1 tsp cayenne pepper
salt and pepper to taste
cilantro sprigs to garnish
Directions:
Mix the rub ingredients and rub into the meat.
Add a little oil to the pan and heat over high heat.
Add lamb. Stir around for 2 minutes to brown on all sides.
Add shallots and cabbage. Stir around for 2 minutes.
Add cilantro and a little salt and pepper to taste. Stir around for an additional minute. Serve over rice and garnish with a few cilantro sprigs.
