India Tandoori Turkey Tenderloins
This recipe was taken from centuries old cooking techniques and when possible applied modern cooking methods and/or ingredients. It uses Asian cooking styles, Asian Spices, Asian Sauces and Asian Ingredients. The style of cooking may have a slight alteration while still maintaining the dish's overall purpose. Recipe makes for 4 Servings
4 cloves garlic, finely chopped
1 tablespoon grated gingerroot
1 tablespoon curry powder
2 teaspoons olive or canola oil
1 teaspoon ground cumin
¼ teaspoon salt
2 turkey breast tenderloins (8 oz each), cut lengthwise in half
¾ cup fat-free plain yogurt
Directions:
In small bowl, mix garlic, ginger, curry powder, oil, cumin and salt. Rub mixture evenly on all sides of turkey. Place turkey in shallow glass dish. Cover; refrigerate at least 6 hours to marinate but no longer than 24 hours.
Heat gas or charcoal grill. Place turkey on grill over medium heat. Cover grill; cook 12 to 15 minutes, turning once, until juice of turkey is clear when center of thickest part is cut (at least 165°F). Serve turkey with yogurt.
